Great China does not offer delivery service for regular take-out orders,
however we do offer catering without staffed service.
Our catering service includes delivery to the event site,
help laying out the steam table containers in a logical manner,
setting up the utensils and sauces at the food station,
and removal of empty take-out containers.

Our catering menu is the same as our normal menu;
no discounts are given under any circumstances.
We use medium-sized aluminum steam table containers.
Normally, these will hold 2-3 orders of an entrée.
We will not use customer-provided plates or bowls.
We will use customer-provided plastic ware if it is stackable and approved by the chef.
This is because we have limited vehicle delivery space.
We do not provide chafing dishes, although these are readily available
to rent or buy at many local retailers.

Great China will be happy to work with you on planning a menu that fits your needs and budget.
We prefer to have at least 7 days notice for catering orders,
although we may be able to help you on a shorter timetable.
If we cannot provide delivery, we can almost always make your food for pickup,
even as soon as 30 minutes after placing the order, depending on how busy we are.
An hour or two’s notice is sufficient for most large pickup orders.

Minimum catering fees

UC Berkeley Campus: $150

City of Berkeley: $250

Outside of Berkeley: $500 or more depending on the distance.
